2006
- Joint Consultative Council (JCC) invites a group of women leaders in a meeting to discuss establishing a forum to deliberate on issues relating to challenges they face. This results in the formation of a group of women volunteers called Women Leaders' Roundtable.
2007
- The first NWS under the theme Entrepreneurship, Leadership and Growth is hosted with 150 women participants from various regions of Namibia. Participants mandate the NWS to make the event an annual event, design and lodge a NWS website and to involve women from the regions as roundtablers.
2008
- The second NWS attracts 285 participants with the theme Women Entrepreneurs Networking for Growth.
- NWS website is launched and women from the regions actively participate as roundtablers in their regions. The first NWS EXPO is added to the summit programme.
2009
- The third NWS is hosted and more requests/recommendations from the 300 participants are recorded. The theme is Knowledge is Power: Let's Share It. The summit attracts more sponsors and international speakers.
2010
- The fourth NWS is organised under the theme Women in a Changing World. More international speakers join the panel of speakers and presenters.
- Women Directors Training precedes the summit.
- House of Women (HOW) is launched
2011
- HOW organises the fifth NWS - bigger and better, and who knows where it will be held!
